Hydrophones Sound Projectors Calibration Equipment
Hydrophone Calibration at Shallow Depth (up to 50m)
GeoSpectrum’s high-speed hydrophone calibrator can be equipped to measure voltage sensitivity and capacitance as a function of depth up to 50 m.
In the standard form of the equipment, the operator manually adjusts the pressure within the calibration system and then activates the calibration software. As an added-cost option, the computer can control the pressure and calibrate the hydrophones at depths specified by the operator. In both cases, the equipment must be supplied with a source of dry, pressurized air.

Graphs of capacitance and voltage sensitivity as a function of static pressure (depth)
Calibrations as a function of depth can be combined with calibrations as a function of temperature and signal amplitude. Distortion can be measured at any combination of temperature, depth, and signal amplitude.
